ESPN’s Dick Vitale has already unveiled which team he has winning it all.
Vitale is getting a little mocked for his Elite Eight – which consists of all 1-seeds and 2-seeds. He has two of the 1-seeds advancing to the Final Four.
It won’t shock you to hear that Vitale has the Duke Blue Devils cutting down the nets. He believes they’ll knock off the Tennessee Volunteers in the national title game.
Vitale has Duke, Gonzaga, Tennessee and Kentucky in the Final Four.
It would be shocking to see all the 1-seeds and 2-seeds make it to the Elite Eight – but it isn’t impossible. While it would make for a great final two weeks of the tournament, it would also mean the event was light on upsets leading up to it.
Vitale’s ESPN pals Jay Bilas and Jay Williams also picked all chalk for the Elite Eight, for what it’s worth. Apparently they all think the top teams this year won’t be upset.
We’ll see how it actually plays out. The tournament starts on Tuesday.
